One of the things that I can say about visiting Badlands National Park in South Dakota is that the weather is almost always very dynamic when I am there. I rarely have times when it is all sunny or all cloudy. Usually, when the sun bursts forth there is some great color in the sky. During the day clouds lazily float by and then in the afternoon I am often treated to a spectacular storm. This image is from one such evening, a summer storm was rolling through and the sunlight was streaming through the clouds illuminating the badlands landscape.
