Happy Thanksgiving: A Nokoni Morning

First, I want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is where they should be safely. To celebrate this day, I wanted to share an image of a very scenic and beautiful location, Lake Nokoni.

This gem is located approximately 9 miles in from Grand Lake on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park. You can only hike into this lake and the nearest campground is about 2.5 miles away. I woke early and hiked to this lake, pretty much completely uphill under a clear sky with a blanket of stars above me. Thirsty from the climb, I filtered water from the lake and drank the delicious H2O. Nothing beats glacial water straight form the source!
