Photo Friday: Quiet Solace

When I visited Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge this past May one of the things that struck me about the refuge was the quiet and remoteness. Early one morning I hiked out to a little marshy area that was completely encased in fog. I setup on the edge of one of the marshes and watched as the fog rolled through and eventually burned off. The only sounds were the quacks of some ducks on a nearby lake and the rustle of prairie grass in a light breeze.
