Photo Friday: Long’s Peak Pano
On a autumn day in late September, a storm rolled through Rocky Mountain National Park and obscured Long’s Peak for a good part of the morning. When afternoon came the storm clouds receded leaving a fresh dusting of snow on the mountain. Using my telephoto zoom lens, I captured several images of this scene across the face of the mountain and then stitched them together for a high resolution photograph. Since there wasn’t much color in the original, I de-saturated the photo as well, making it a black and white panoramic.
