Photo Friday: Through the Sandhills

For some the Great Plains are synonymous with desolation, loneliness. They avoid this land, but when they can’t they pass through as fast as they can without even a glance. For others the Great Plains are synonymous with solitude, soul-searching. Those individuals embrace this land and find the sublime in the unending horizon and limitless sky. They find comfort in the sound of prairie grass swaying in the breeze where others only find silence.
