Photo Friday: Silent Blue Heron

Most years I try to get to Squaw Creek (now Loess Bluffs) National Wildlife Refuge at least once for the bird migrations. This year, I was able to go a few times to witness the snow geese, bald eagles, and herons. Each bird is unique, but the elegance with which the heron glides through the sky makes flying seem so effortless and beautiful.
